A Hug From God

Hello RTFM Friends:

The other day, very early in the morning I left home, for the night before, someone in our community was dying and asked if I could come in the morning and bring them communion.  As I was on my way out the door, my son, noticing that the communion kit was empty, said:  “hey dad, how are you going to get the bread and the juice for communion, you box is empty?”  I thought for a moment and said: “Well, God is just going to have to provide.”   On my way to the home I was impressed to go to the local Christian book store and ask them if they had any bread and juice for communion?

When I walked in the lady introduced herself very kindly, and asked if she could help me.  I made her aware of what I needed and she said, “I have just the right thing for you!”  She then explained that this item just came out and it was a unique prepackaged communion juice and cracker set.  I thought to myself: “I wonder how much this is going to cost?”  I then asked her:  “What is the price on something like this?”  She smiled and said:  ” I know that you are on a mission for God and today for you, it is free!”   I was just dumbfounded!  I swallowed and said :  “mam, you must be kidding me, what do I have to pay for this?”  She then smiled again and said:  “The price today is nothing, I can sense you are on a mission for God and I would just like to help you in your work for Him.”  The tears almost flowed from my eyes as I thanked her, walked out of the store and went off to minister communion to someone in need!  This to me was a hug from God!

Jesus once said:

26Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?. . . . But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  (Matthew 6:26-27,34)

Oh, how much Jesus loves us and desires us to rest in the promise of His love and care!

Today, our ministry is at a crossroads.  We have much to do for God and for all intent and purposes the service box looks empty.  God needed to remind us by what happened that day,  that He is going to take care of us!

Will you take a moment today as well as for the next week and pray for us?  Please, there is power in prayer and we know that God will provide.   And, if He touches your heart to help us in that endeavor, that will be okay too:)

With all our love,

Pastor David and The Rekindle the Flame Ministries Family!

Until Next Time!
