“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Things today seem out of control. Yes, we can be certain the God will take care of each one of us. The key is going to Him for each and every one of our needs. The promise is that He will provide for them according to His riches. If any one can consistently and with certainty make provision for us in the times in which we are living, in it is God!
Let me illustrate for you how this is happening in my own life. Once the Coronavirus outbreak was determined to be pandemic I made an attempt to go to the local Walmart and all of the bathroom tissue and paper towels were gone! I realized that people were seeking to take care of their own needs out of panic and/or fear. For two straight days everywhere I went there was no tissue or towels to be found. What did I do? I made my need may known to God! Now, God knew my need, I realize that; What I needed was direction and peace in my situation. God gave me both.
God gave me a peace that He would take care of me. He encouraged me to just keep doing the ministry that He has called me too and that He would take care of me. The next morning as I was coming back from a ministry appointment I was going though a small town. There was a little grocery story and God impressed me to stop at this location. I stopped and a gentleman came up to me and asked if he could trouble me for a jump start as his battery was dead. I joyfully helped him. Once we got the car started we began to talk and I witnessed to him about the providence and provision of God. I shared with him that this stop I was making was one that I never had made before but God impressed me to stop here and that I was glad that He provided this opportunity to bless him with a jump start. The man thanked me, went on his way and I went into the store.
When I went into the store I asked the attendant if they had any Bath Tissue or any Paper Towel. He chuckled and said “do we ever, no one has figured out that we have this stuff here! I guess when they do we will be wipe out!” We laughed and I purchased a small amount as I was impressed by God to make sure others would also have and that He would continue to provide for me. You see, God was showing me that He would be making provision for me and that I need not worry! Also, in making provision for me He was using me to be a light and blessings to others.
Let me encourage you today to stay calm, trust God as He will provide for all of your needs according to His riches in Glory!
Discipleship Moment
Let’s keep in mind that the great gospel commission must continue in these times. Let me encourage you to pray for each one of your neighbors, coworkers and others in your sphere of influence. During this crisis God is opening many opportunities for us to be a light in a dark place if we would just keep our hearts open to Him. Discipleship is our Heavenly Father’s plan to reach the world with the Gospel. “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14 Presently at RTFM we are reaching out to our neighbors and last weekend we had a worship service in our home and three of our neighbors attended.
Health Tip for the Coronavirus*
Each morning drink a warm water of freshly squeezed lemon juice. It will give you over 75% of the vitamin C for the day, add alkalinity to your body and boost your immune system. Zinc Lozenges and a supplement called NAC (do not take if you have asthma) can go a long way to keep your body healthy. Drink plenty of water, eat as much whole foods as possible, exercise regularly and trust in divine power. Also take time to pray and ask God to help you keep your mind thinking positive and in a state of good health. “A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones” Proverbs 17:22 NKJV
Campus Ministry
Pray for the university students we have been ministering to this year. They are now on an extended break due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. We are keeping in touch with them and encouraging them to trust in Jesus and remain strong in their faith.
God will provide for all of our needs! As each day unfolds start your day with Him. Then, live each day seeking to be a blessing and encouragement to others. You may be the instrument of Grace in the hand of God that will change the life of someone else. As He uses you, He will take care of you and no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isa. 54:17)
May God bless you,
